About Barwon Youth
Based in Geelong West Victoria, BAYSA Ltd ( now trading as Barwon Youth) commenced in 1981 and has developed into an organisation that is funded from a range of government sources by state and commonwealth, philanthropic grants and donations.
Barwon Youth provides a broad spectrum of services and service delivery mechanisms across the Barwon South Western Region of Victoria.
In providing these services Barwon Youth has demonstrated its ability to act collaboratively with many agencies, professions and government departments establishing long standing and unique partnerships. The history, current practice and strategic plan of Barwon Youth demonstrates high quality, reliable and innovative services.
Barwon Youth's human service programs for young people of the Victorian Barwon South West Region responds to the educational, training, support, accommodation, substance abuse and offending and issues of disadvantaged young people at risk and their families.

The Name Change:
In early February 2007 BAYSA Youth Services
officially changed it’s trading name to Barwon
Youth.
In launching the new name local Member for
Geelong Mr Ian Tresize complimented the Board
and staff of Barwon Youth for twenty five
years of quality service delivery to disadvantaged
young people in the region.
