Big Brothers Big Sisters of Geelong welcomes your interest in our program.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Geelong depends upon reliable, responsible adult volunteers to be matched one to one with vulnerable young people in need of friendship and support. We currently have many young people between the ages of 12 and 18 waiting for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
You are invited to attend an Information Session and find out more about the role of Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the difference they make to the lives of young people in need of a positive adult role model.
During the Information Session (approx 1 hour), program staff will discuss the following:
- History of the program
- Aims and benefits of the program
- Role of the volunteers
- Volunteer commitment
- Issues faced by young people in the program
- Volunteer Selection Process
Program staff will be available during and immediately following the session to answer any questions you may have regarding the program.
